Treasure Island Ferry
The Treasure Island Ferry is the newest ferry brand on the Bay. The 7-day-a-week service is funded by the Treasure Island Development Corporation (TIDC) and operated by Prop SF. One vessel is used on the service, the P/V Sammy J.
Service began on March 1, 2022, using the new Treasure Island Ferry Terminal, running to Gate B at the San Francisco Ferry Building. The trip time is about 10 minutes during weekday peak times and 15 minutes during off-peak periods. Fares are $5 each way, and 30 day passes are $150. Interestingly, all fare media is virtual, even if paid via cash. Ferry service previously operated to Treasure Island from the Key Pier and SF Ferry Building during the 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition. |
