BART Express
BART Express bus service was a BART-branded connecting bus service to Pittsburg/Antioch/Brentwood, Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore/San Ramon, Martinez, and Hercules/Pinole areas from the 1970s to 1990s. It was contracted to AC Transit (1974?/1975-1989, and Laidlaw (1989-1997).

1500-1549 1984 Gillig Phantom 40'(40TB966V92)50 Detroit Diesel 6V92TA Allison HT-7477-23-1984 - 1/15/1989 1500-1503 short BART service. Livery: 1506-1542 BART. 1500-1505 & 1543-1545 BART & ACT back & forth several times. Some painted into the new white scheme within 6 months of entering service. Reason was that Bart decided that they didnt need as many buses for the service. |
